Evondos® VitaCam
Contactless vitals signs monitoring
Evondos VitaCam enables remote, contactless measurement of vital signs during a video call, helping care providers monitor patients more frequently without increasing workload. Using advanced computer vision and the standard Evondos Anna camera, VitaCam measures:
- Respiratory rate
- Pulse, rhythm and variability
- Oxygen saturation changes
- Blood pressure in development
0 K
People have used VitaCam
Across 5 countries 20,000 people have used the technology to monitor respiration rate with measurement success rate of more than 99%
How does VitaCam work?
VitaCam uses advanced computer vision to detect subtle physiological signals through the integrated Evondos Anna video camera.
All measurements are captured in real time during the call, with results immediately available to the caregiver.
VitaCam is a Class IIa CE-marked medical device, with clinically validated accuracy.
Respiratory rate
Measured from chest movement
Respiratory rate is calculated by analysing the rise and fall of the chest during breathing
Pulse rate, rhythm & variability measured from colour changes in the skin
Pulse and heart rhythm are derived from subtle colour variations in the face, caused by blood flow in the microcirculation.
Oxygen saturation change measured from light reflection
Oxygen saturation changes are calculated from light reflected from the skin, using colour signal analysis.

"By broadly implementing welfare technology, and thinking 'digital first', municipalities can both save employees' time, and - perhaps more importantly - enable the elderly to live independently for longer."
Swedish Local Authorities and Regions (SKR)
on welfare technology
Welfare technology in municipalities
The Swedish Council of Local Authorities and Regions has developed support to facilitate the work of municipalities in determining the benefits and costs of specific welfare technologies. Please use SKR's benefit calculation to calculate the benefit your municipality would receive from starting to use medication dispensers in elderly care.
1. Start video call
A video call with the client is started by the care team member
2. Guided through measurements
The client is guided through the measurement sequence
3. Instant results
Measurement results are displayed to the care team member on screen
4. Monitor or Act
All measurements are graphically displayed to enable the identification of trends allowing you act as early as possible in the presence of any deterioration.
